Christian singer Luke Yates to perform in Rainier next month

Posted

Spokane native and nationally recognized Christian recording artist Luke Yates will perform a free concert at 7 p.m., Friday, April 19, at Rainier Chapel. The event is a non-ticketed, non-denominational event, and it is recommended that attendees arrive early for best seating.

Born and raised in Spokane, Yates began singing in church with his mother and nine siblings at a young age. Over the past two decades, he has performed more than 2,000 concerts throughout the United States. At 18, he began touring with the gospel male vocal band New Legacy Project, formerly known as the Blackwood Legacy, and was mentored by Gospel Music Hall of Famer Rick Price.

Yates has recorded music in studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and Los Angeles, California.

“It is so good to be back home doing what I love with the people who know me best,” Yates said of the tour in a press release.

Rainier Chapel is located at 206 Binghamton St. SE in Rainier.
